Medical Care is provided free of charge for patients between the ages of 19 and 64 without health insurance and with income up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level.
Clients are seen by appointment after being screened for eligibility. For the eligibility screening, clients are asked to provide proof of household income (such as Social Security, disability, unemployment, child support, food stamps, salary, etc.) and picture identification with Social Security number.
WHAT WE DO
Medical Outreach Ministries is a non-profit organization that exists to serve people in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore Counties who cannot afford routine medical care for themselves.
While the poorest of the poor may be eligible for Medicaid or other public assistance, there are many uninsured persons who fall through the cracks of the healthcare system. Their only access to a physician for even the most common illnesses is often through the local emergency rooms.
Our Mission as a witness for Jesus Christ, Medical Outreach Ministries exists to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the medically underserved by providing free healthcare services.
