The Kern County Department of Public Health offers a variety of community clinics on a monthly basis to assist all County residents in ensuring good health and promoting wellness. Fees vary for each clinic, and most clinics accept Medi-Cal, Family Pact or sliding scale payments.

Head Lice / Scabies - Examination and Treatment: (non-managed care)
Services are available at the Bakersfield office, 1800 Mt. Vernon Avenue, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Walk-in spaces are available or for an appointment call 321-3000.

STD Clinic.
    Our STD Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm and offers low-cost, high quality care.
    We are located at 1800 Mt. Vernon Ave. in Bakersfield, CA.
    Confidentiality is strictly observed for all patients 12 and older.
    Walk-in's are accepted but to reduce wait time, please call to make an appointment at 321-3000.
    We accept Medi-Cal.
    Don't have insurance? You may qualify for Family Pact. Call 321-3000 or email us at askSTDclinic@co.kern.ca.us for eligibility questions.
