  • Screening for diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension), and high cholesterol
  • Screening and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • HIV screening, risk-reduction counseling, and care information
  • Screening for post partum depression
  • Cervical cancer screening
  • Clinical breast exams
  • Mammography referrals
  • Family planning services
  • Nutritional counseling

Harris County Public Health offers clinical and preventive health services on a sliding fee scale. Co-pays are calculated based on household size and family income.

Dental Clinic
Eligibility Requirements

Dental services for children, adolescents, and expectant mothers are provided at two locations, the HCPH Humble Dental Clinic and the HCPH Southeast Dental Clinic. We accept CHIP and Medicaid. Many uninsured patients are seen at our clinics at no cost or at a minimal cost to the families because they qualify for the Title V grant. New patients are encouraged to call for an appointment.

When necessary, our dental clinic refers patients to other sources of care where they can receive more specialized services.

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
