Mercy Place is a free outpatient clinic affiliated with St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, which provides comprehensive health care, treatment and prevention to uninsured people who do not qualify for other health care alternatives. It is located in downtown Pontiac, and although most clients come from the Pontiac area, the clinic serves select, northern Oakland County zip codes. The free clinic is supported by volunteer physicians who donate their time and generous donors who endorse the Mercy mission of caring for all, regardless of their ability to pay.

Mercy Place exemplifies our Mercy mission and values, which emphasize justice by working for the common good through advancing the health status of the community. The mission especially takes steps to ensure that the needs of the underserved are addressed.

Mercy Place operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Services are provided to adults only and include:
    Surgical evaluation services.
    Case management services.
    Pharmaceutical services.
    Women's health program.
    Health screening.
    Free pregnancy testing.
    Wellness exams & physicals.
    Disease prevention.
    Ophthalmology program with eyeglass program.
    Ongoing health care management for chronic diseases

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

    my husband has diabetes stage 3 kidney disease high blood pressure copd amoung a host of other issues due to his diabetes he is on several medications totaling $2000 our medicaid case was closed they forced me to reapply but now he is out of all his medications i cant afford to get it from the pharmacy and cant afford to take him to his doctor. i need help getting him his medication while we wait

    Diarrhea for 3 weeks. Within minutes of eating or drinking. Little fever. Very bad headache. Now have shortness of breathe and severe abdominal pain before and after diarrhea. Tried the brat diet for 3 days now no relief. In the beginning end of march did over the counter amodium ad. No help started headache then . no insurance.

    I am 45 and think I may be going thru menopause for the pass 2 years I have been having irregular periods and at this time I have going on 4 months w no period last time I went to see a obgyn he said to get something to bring on my period because it can lead to cancer so I am getting very concern and don't have insurance to go see a Dr please let me know what I should do

    Its time for my annual pap smear and physical but I'm uninsured at this time and I'm in immediate need of care. I'm very worried that I may have an STD or STI. I thought it may be an yeast infection so I treated it with an OTC med but almost 2 weeks later the discharge came back. Also, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure which I'm not on medication for and pre-diabetes.
