About InterFaith Health Clinic
Sliding Scale

InterFaith Health Clinic provides affordable and comprehensive health care to people who are working without health insurance.
InterFaith  currently has medical openings for new patients.   If you know of anyone who would be a potential patient, please share.  Please have them bring the following between 8:30 am to 11:00 am or 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to complete an application at 315 Gill Avenue:
·         Most recent 1040 tax form or 2 /3 current pay stubs
·         Social Security or Disability statement ( must show monthly amount)
·         Social Security cards for you and household- not necessary if 1040 provided
·         Drivers license or photo id
·         Proof of address ( no bank statements)
If you have questions, please call (865) 546-7330.  InterFaith Health Clinic is a comprehensive not for profit clinic for the working underserved and uninsured providing medical and dental care, mental health services and a dispensary.

Primary Services:
The clinic's founders realized that providing only primary care would not be enough so they devised a plan to provide four main programs. Those programs still exist today and include primary care, dental care, mental health counseling and affordable medications.
Additional Services:
Our patients also have access to an on-site medications dispensary, specialty clinics, and a network of more than 400 specialists who share our commitment to comprehensive health care. The InterFaith Network is a collection of more than 400 specialists who treat our patients in their offices according to InterFaith's sliding fee scale.  This provides the specialists with access to the specialty equipment they need for diagnostic purposes or for treatment.  The majority of the specialists are medical, although the InterFaith Network includes some oral surgeons and orthodontists.  Each specialty area available in Knoxville is represented in our referral network, and all three area hospital systems also partner with us to provide all-inclusive care to our patients.

Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the InterFaith Health Clinic website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2021
Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $12,760
2 $17,240
3 $21,720
4 $26,200
5 $30,680
6 $35,160
7 $39,640
8 $44,120

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get legal aid from some offices, they use a sliding fee scale. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
