All forms of insurance are accepted, including Medicare, Medicaid and Employer/Group insurances. Special payment options may be available for those who qualify.
Services Include:
Family Medicine - Primary care for the whole family including preventive services and annual screenings for children, adults and seniors;
Internal Medicine - Primary care for adults including preventive services and annual screenings;
Pediatric Medicine - Primary care for babies and children including well-child visits and school/sports physicals;
Chronic Disease Management - Diagnosis and ongoing care for diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
Immunization - Protection from, and prevention of, infection diseases
Behavioral Health - Mental health counseling services and substance abuse treatment for patients receiving care from one of PATHS' Medical Providers
Pharmacy - Providing access to safe and effective medicine.
Telemedicine - Advanced internet technologies support specialty visits from providers at the University of Virginia Health System (UVA) from PATHS' Chatham location, and specialty visits from providers at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center from PATHS' Boydton Location

PATHS' Community Dental Centers
We are here to provide dental care to those local to the Dan River Region. The links between oral health and overall health are well publicized. In following the mission, PATHS wants to make sure that everyone who needs access to dental care gets it – whether they have insurance or not.
All forms of insurance, including Medicaid, are accepted and sliding scale payment options are available for those who qualify.
When someone with dental insurance or Medicaid chooses PATHS’ Community Dental Clinic for their dental needs, they are making it possible for someone without insurance to receive the same quality care.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.
When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
COVID-19 Information for Patients
Contact your healthcare provider by phone before coming to a clinic or hospital if you meet the following criteria:
- Symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, fatigue, headache
- Symptoms such as muscle or body aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose.
- Contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19 within 14 days of onset of systems
Mild Covid Symptoms
- Low-grade fever (approx 100 degrees Fahrenheit for adults)
- Nasal congestion
- Runny nose
- Mild, dry cough
- Mild body aches
Moderate Covid Symptoms
- Fever above 100.4 F
- Persistent cough
- Temporary shortness of breath when you exert yourself
- Exhaustion, need to stay in bed
Severe Covid Symptoms
- Constant trouble breathing
- Persistent chest pain or pressure
- Confusion
- Trouble staying awake
- Blue lips or face
