The Pasadena Health Center offers a sliding scale fee discount for patients who qualify. This reduction is based on the number of dependents residing at the patient's residence, as well as total income earned in the household. If you have a problem making payment for services, discuss this with our staff before services are rendered.
Eligibility Policy for Pasadena Health Center
To be considered eligible for the sliding fee discount you must present the following:
    Valid Texas Drivers License or Texas ID (for Adults)
    Valid ID= Birth Certificate (for each child)
In addition the following must also be presented:
    2 pay check stubs for each person in the same household that is working.
    If you do not get paid by check, then a letter from an employer stating the amount of monthly gross earnings (or $ per hour and number of hours worked per week).
    Proof of assistance from Texas Unemployment Commission (if receiving checks from the Commission.
    Proof of any other financial assistance (child support, food stamps, etc.)
    Letter of proof if a dependent in the same household is a full time college student.
    Medicaid eligibility letter: this should be the same month the patient is being seen.
    Bank Statement - last two (have to be current)
    Income Tax - latest one filed
    For eligibility renewal - need to present new current documents

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get legal aid from some offices, they use a sliding fee scale. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
