The Seattle Lesbian Cancer Project, founded in 1993, was originally created out of a need for culturally-specific support for cancer survivors. Since its inception, the SLCP has evolved to address health disparities of sexual minority women through immediate support and education, as well as, advocacy for systemic change in health care.
