We are a volunteer-based facility providing health care for the working uninsured and underinsured. We provide quality, free health care and preventative medical services in a caring environment to the working uninsured in Volusia County and the greater Daytona Beach area. The facility is not an emergency room or a walk-in clinic, but an appointment only primary care facility. Patients will have to meet certain criteria. We are an initiative of the Daytona Beach Vision Foundation and are in partnership with Halifax Hospital, Florida Hospital, and Bethune Cookman University.
Quality medical care begins with skilled, experienced and caring professionals. Our patients are taken care of by a number of retired and actively practicing physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses in our community.
Our nation's current economic state has made our mission more important than ever, with more people losing health insurance. We want our community to be as healthy as possible so they can enjoy their lives, take care of their families and go to work. We are able to manage our patients conditions while keeping them out of expensive emergency rooms and urgent care facilities.

Our patients have access to a full range of medical services which are provided on-site, this includes outpatient primary medical care such as diagnosis and management of chronic disorders including: diabetes mellitus, hypertension, arthritis, chronic rhinitis and allergies. We are able to diagnose and treat acute disorders such as bronchitis, upper respiratory infections, simple fractures, simple lacerations, urinary tract infections, rashes and back and muscle strains. We provide care at no cost to our patients. We do not take nay forms of insurance and do not charge co-pays for our services that are preformed on-site. We work closely with medical specialists and facilities for referrals of speciality medical services that require specialized expertise or equipment not available on-site. This includes:
    Gynecology
    Cardiology
    Gastroenterology
    Audiology
    Ultrasound
    Echocardiography
    Colonoscopy
    Endoscopy
    Computerized Tomography scanning
    Barium Imaging Studies
    Specialized Imaging
    Cardiac Catheterization and Intervention
Surgical Services and Advanced Eye Care
    Minor Surgery
In addition, specialized services on a referral basis my include Dental, Physical Therapy and others based on the pool of volunteers.

Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Volusia Volunteers in Medicine Daytona Beach website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2023

Persons In Family HouseholdPoverty Guideline Salary per year
1$14,580

4$30,000
5$35,140

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I recently lost my job and insurance due to the inability to do my job. So now without insurance I can not continue treatments. I have a back injury due to lifting at home. I’ve been receiving Bilateral L4-S1 Facet Injections and the Dr wants to schedule more. I have not been scheduled for any PT as I was told that cannot start until after all injections are completed. No job= No pay= No Insurance
