Clearwater Free Clinic

The Clearwater Free Clinic provides high quality health care in a caring and non-judgmental atmosphere to the low-income uninsured population living in Clearwater and surrounding communities.

The Clinic is a non-profit, non-government facility staffed primarily by volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and office clerks. Patient receiving medication at the Clinic Our community partners, including Morton Plant Mease hospitals, provide specialist office visits, lab tests, procedures, and medications at no charge to our patients.

The medical and educational services we provide enable our patients to lead healthier and more productive lives, which in turn has a positive impact on their families and our community.

The Clearwater Free Clinic offers a wide range of care for most non-emergency medical problems. Treatment begins with an office visit during which you will be seen by our nurse practitioner or one of our volunteer doctors. Medications, lab work, tests, X-rays, procedures, nutritional counseling, and referrals to specialists are available to qualified Clinic patients.

Some conditions cannot be treated at the Clinic, including seizures, psychiatric disorders, chronic back pain, and cancer. The Clinic does not provide children''s immunizations, STD testing, pregnancy testing or services, or birth control. Narcotics and prescriptions for narcotics are not available at the Clinic.

Services are available to adults and children who are U.S. citizens and permanent residents of upper Pinellas County. Patients must be under the age of 65, have no medical insurance, be ineligible for government medical programs (Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, County Social Service card, etc.), and meet the Clinic's financial guidelines.

There is no set fee for Clinic services, however we do ask that you come prepared to make a donation to help cover our operating expenses.

The Clearwater Free Clinic is located at the corner of N. Ft. Harrison Ave. and Seminole St. (about 1/2 mile north of Drew St.) in downtown Clearwater, Florida. Our hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Are You Eligible?

Patients must meet the following qualifications to be seen at the Clinic: Newborn to 65 years of age (patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian)
Permanent resident of northern Pinellas County
U.S. Citizen
No medical insurance or government medical assistance
Must meet financial guidelines
