COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information for Patients
Contact your healthcare provider by phone before coming to a clinic or hospital if you meet the following criteria:
Symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath and
Travel to countries with coronavirus alerts within 14 days of onset of symptoms or
Contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19 within 14 days of onset of systems

The Birmingham Free Clinic serves uninsured and other medically vulnerable groups through an exclusively volunteer group of health care providers

Walk-In Clinic Hours:
The walk-in clinics operate on a first come first serve basis.
The check in times:
Saturday at 9:00 am.
It is best to arrive 30min to an hour before the check-in times to be guaranteed a spot.
Only accept patients who do NOT have any health insurance.
If you have never been seen at Birmingham before, we ask that you come to the walk-in clinic first to establish care we us, and then we start making appointments if needed.
Our appointment sessions:
Tuesdays 12:30pm- 5:00pm
We reserve out appointment sessions for returning patients.
Interpreters are available at all clinic sessions for Spanish speakers.
Patients are asked to come early before the registration times as our walk-in clinic also operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
PHCUP clinics offer primary and specialty care at no charge to any patient due to the generosity of our community partners, volunteer providers, donors and support from the Division. Clinical services are provided by an all-volunteer staff of clinicians, including attending, resident, and fellow physicians, as well as pharmacists and nurses from the Division, UPMC, and the University of Pittsburgh. Depending on the clinic location, services include the following:
Physical exams for employment, housing, post-secondary education, and driving
Basic diagnostic testing such as urinalysis, EKG, blood glucose, etc.
Diagnosis and management of chronic medical conditions, including hypertension, asthma, and diabetes
Medication access and management
