The Gesundheit Institute, a project in holistic medical care based on the belief that one cannot separate the health of the individual from the health of the family, the community, the world, and the health care system itself.
Designed to protect care as the core of the medical interaction.
Their model is organized around these principles:
Care is free;
no third party reimbursement is accepted;
Patients are treated as friends;
Ample time is given to the care interaction
initial interviews with patients are 3 hours long;
All complementary medicine is welcomed;
The health of the staff is as important as the health of the patients;
Trust is central to the care interaction (i.e no malpractice insurance); and,
Care is infused with fun and play.
The Gesundheit Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit healthcare organization whose mission is to reframe and reclaim the concept of ‘hospital’.
Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Gesundheit Institute website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.
|Persons In Family Household||Poverty Guideline Salary per year|
For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I'm seeking help because I was diagnosed with BV and prescribed an antibiotic that is also a carcinogen. After taking the pills my pain has not subsided and I can't afford to be seen again for further (and alternative) treatment options. I don't want to be re-prescribed the same carcinogenic antibiotic, but I do need to be treated to avoid further complications.Anonymous on Thursday, November 15, 2018( 0 votes )
hepatitis B. I have no Health inssurance to do further treatment. I am seeking for help.
This year has been especially stressful and my overall health has suffered. In addition to my concerns about the BV potentially leading to PID, I have a very slow-healing sore and general malaise. I'd very much appreciate a full check-up if your facility has the resources. Thank you.
